Edirisah Musuuza, a popular Ugandan musician who goes by the stage name Eddy Kenzo, has been nominated for the International Reggae And World Music Awards (IRAWMA) which is set to take place on Sunday, May 7th, 2023 in Kingston, Jamaica. 

The event, which has a "Reggae Rise" theme, is the 40th edition of the awards that were established in 1982 by Ephraim Martin, a Jamaican entertainment promoter and entrepreneur based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. IRAWMA awards are dedicated to honoring artists and musicians from around the world who have made significant contributions to the reggae and world music genres. 

The categories for the awards include Best Male and Female Vocalist, Best Song, Best Album, Best Dancehall DJ, Best Roots/Rock/Reggae Album, among others. In addition to recognizing the achievements of musicians, the event also celebrates the rich cultural heritage and history of reggae and world music, providing a platform for artists and musicians to showcase their talents, connect with fans and industry professionals, and collaborate with others from around the world.
